📍 Viral Roti Canai Sarang Burung at Super Cafe, Pending
Today I travelled towards Pending in search of a viral roti canai called Roti Canai Sarang Burung.
It’s located at a humble Malay stall operating inside a local café known as Super Cafe.
🍽️ Cafe Vibes
Super Cafe serves a variety of Malay breakfast staples — from roti canai, mee jawa, to kampua/kolok mee.
Having seen countless online videos of the unique roti canai sarang burung, I couldn’t resist the call of my stomach.
⏳ The Wait
When we arrived… the place was packed!
After about 15 minutes of hunting and waiting, we finally got a table.
🥘 Roti Canai Sarang Burung + Kampua Daging

👀 Food Description
The roti is hand-made, crispy, and thick enough to hold its own.
It’s topped with two sunny-side-up eggs, garnished with sambal, and sprinkled with seasoning, served with a side of dhal curry.

The presentation was so fancy I didn’t know whether to use my fingers, fork, or go full fine dining with knife and fork!
🤤 Taste Test
How did it taste?
Well… it’s hard to describe — but it works.
That combo of roti, sambal, seasoning, and dhal hits all the right notes.
I even saved the runny yolk for last. Bliss.
🍜 Bonus Bite
I also had the kampua daging, a classic sweet soy-sauce-drenched noodle with slices of beef.
Tasted good, but not the highlight.
💡 Final Thoughts
That mee jawa from the next stall looked tempting, but I was too full today.
If you’re nearby, you have to try the roti sarang burung. Who knows — it might become your new favourite.
